  • Screen and triage referrals from professionals and the public, ensuring accurate recordings and initial risk assessments.
  • Gather information by liaising with partner agencies including police, health, and education sectors to inform decision-making.
  • Apply local safeguarding thresholds to determine the appropriate level of intervention, such as Early Help or Child Protection.
  • Identify and assess risks to children, considering issues such as neglect, abuse, and domestic violence.
  • Engage in decision-making discussions with multi-agency teams to agree on swift and child-focused next steps.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and ensure compliance with statutory guidance and local procedures.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with partner agencies to promote effective safeguarding practices and information sharing.
