We are seeking an experienced Social Work Team Manager to lead our talented and supportive Locality Team within the Childrens Locality division. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inspirational leadership and operational management to a social work team delivering statutory services.
  • Supervise and support social workers and practitioners, ensuring caseloads are effectively allocated and performance monitored.
  • Oversee safeguarding processes, ensuring statutory assessments, child protection plans, and child-in-need plans meet high-quality standards and are completed on time.
  • Maintain strong multi-agency relationships, fostering integrated support for children and families.
  • Model best practices in social work and actively contribute to service evaluations, audits, and improvement initiatives.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and reflective practice within the team.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Social Worker with a degree (or equivalent) and current Social Work England registration.
  • Proven experience in statutory childrens social work, particularly within safeguarding or locality services.
