What you will do:
  • Undertake Mental Health Act assessments and participate in the Duty AMHP Rota.
  • Lead in completing Care Act assessments and support plans.
  • Conduct carers assessments in line with the Care Act 2014.
  • Perform annual reviews aligned with Care Act duties and Mental Health Act requirements.
  • Maintain effective collaboration with statutory, voluntary, and independent sector agencies to acquire resources that promote positive outcomes for citizens.
  • Address all safeguarding concerns and lead on s.42 safeguarding enquiries.
  • Conduct capacity assessments when required.
  • Chair or contribute to best interest assessments and meetings.
  • Work within timeframes on all legal matters including Court of Protection applications.
  • Apply a high level of expertise in social work interventions to support citizens with mental health challenges, facilitating positive risk-taking to enhance independence and choice.
  • Prioritise preventative work to minimise crises.
  • Attend and engage in meetings that necessitate a social perspective, aligning with the identified support plan.
  • Participate in relevant duty rotas as needed.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK working as a qualified Social Worker.
