Role overview:

This role involves managing a wide range of housing cases including homelessness, disrepair, eviction, possession, and tenancy issues, with scope for advocacy and supervising junior staff. You will work within a hybrid model, reporting directly to the Department Director, and contribute to a highly experienced team delivering both publicly funded and privately funded legal services.

Candidate Profile/Experience Needed:

  • PQE: NQ to 3+ years’ relevant experience in social housing law
  • Proven supervisory experience managing caseworkers or trainees
  • Expertise in publicly funded and private housing casework, including advocacy
  • Strong client care skills and sensitive handling of vulnerable clients
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads and ensure compliance with file management procedures
  • Excellent communication, networking, and organisational skills
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office and document management systems
