Salary: £38.86 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Locum Social Care Occupational Therapist to join the Reablement Team in Slough. This community-focused role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the flexibility and variety that comes with working in a hybrid environment. You will play a key role in helping individuals regain their independence through effective assessment, planning, and intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy interventions as part of a community-based reablement service.
  • Conduct regular home visits; a car and valid driving licence are essential.
  • Work a rotational shift pattern including early (08:00–16:00) and late shifts (12:00–20:00), with weekend working (09:00–17:00) required every 6–7 weeks.
  • Undertake detailed assessments and deliver individualised treatment plans to promote daily living skills and independence.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including health and social care professionals to deliver integrated care.
  • Monitor progress and adjust care plans as required, ensuring outcomes are achieved effectively and safely.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Proven experience in a community or reablement occupational therapy setting.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
