Overview

Join Our Team as a Part-Time Receptionist at Axe Valley Veterinary Practice! Axe Valley Veterinary Practice Limited is excited to welcome a part-time receptionist to help keep our busy clinic running smoothly. While the majority of your time will be based at our Weston-super-Mare branch, you’ll have the opportunity to support all our surgeries as needed — making every day varied and engaging. In this role, you’ll be a vital support to our veterinary team during peak times, ensuring our clients and their beloved pets receive the highest standard of care. We’re looking for someone confident, professional, and warm, with a friendly approach and a positive can-do attitude. We are part of the IVC Evidensia network, enjoying the benefits of both local decision-making and support from a leading veterinary group.

About You

This role is wonderfully varied — from cleaning and ordering stock to handling animals and occasional lone working. We’re seeking a multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves being part of a team, and can keep their sense of humor even when things get busy. Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is a plus, but not essential. What’s most important is your professionalism, excellent communication skills, and solid IT proficiency.

Your Working Hours

The successful candidate will work approximately 15 hours a week, with shifts between 8 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is key, as you may be called upon to cover staff holidays or sickness.
