We’re looking for a reliable and approachable Site Security & Amenities Operative to join our growing Estates and Security team, supporting the safe and smooth operation of our school facilities during after-school activities and external lettings.
This is a hands‑on, people‑facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys being active on site, providing excellent customer service and playing a visible part in keeping our school community safe, secure and well supported.
This is a newly created role within our evolving Estates and Security structure, designed to strengthen on‑site supervision and support as our school continues to grow and develop. Alongside this post, we are also recruiting a Security & Amenities Manager and a Security & Amenities Supervisor, creating a small, dedicated team focused on maintaining a safe, welcoming and well‑managed site for our school community and external users.

As a Site Security & Amenities Operative, you’ll work within a shift pattern under the direction of the Security & Amenities Supervisor, providing on‑site security and facilities support during evenings and weekends.
Your role will include:
Carrying out regular site patrols and security checks, including monitoring access points and exits
Monitoring site activity and appropriately challenging unsafe or unacceptable behaviour
Acting as a friendly and professional point of contact for external lettings users
Supporting setup and takedown of rooms, courts and pitches via the helpdesk
Ensuring facilities are left safe, tidy and secure at the end of activities
Monitoring litter, debris and playing surfaces, including frost or moss build‑up
Supporting car park management and traffic flow when required
Issuing colleauge ID cards following HR approval
Conducting external security patrols tired
Monitoring and reporting on the swimming pool in line with compliment procedures
This role requires flexibility, including evening and weekend working, to ensure appropriate security coverage across the school year
We’ve looking for a reliable, professional and customer‑focused individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards. You’ll be confident working independently and as part of a team, calm under pressure, physically active and committed to safeguarding, health and safety at all times. Experience in a security or facilities role is helpful but not essential, the right attitude and approach are key.
