Site Manager (Heating & Boiler Replacements)

Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Site Manager to join our expanding team in Manchester. This role is centered on the successful delivery of domestic boiler replacement programs and specialist heating upgrades within the social housing sector.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle—from initial survey coordination to final sign-off—ensuring all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Drive the delivery of boiler replacements, pipework installations, and compliance upgrades in line with agreed programs and specifications.
  • Quality & Compliance: Conduct rigorous inspections and sign off on quality assurance documentation to ensure all gas and heating works meet regulatory standards.
  • Commercial Management: Partner with the Quantity Surveying (QS) team to manage site budgets, track material usage, and maximize project efficiency.
  • Team Coordination: Lead on-site operatives and subcontractors by setting daily targets, allocating tasks based on capability, and monitoring overall performance.
  • Safety Leadership: Manage all site health and safety protocols, including conducting inductions and ensuring all teams have the necessary PPE and equipment for safe working.
  • Resident Relations: Maintain a professional and considerate presence on-site, serving as the key liaison between the company, residents, and local authority representatives to ensure a smooth tenant experience.
Candidate Requirements
  • Sector Expertise: Significant experience in Site Management, with a specific focus on high-volume boiler replacement or domestic heating contracts.
  • Social Housing Knowledge: A strong background in working within occupied social housing environments and a clear understanding of tenant engagement protocols.
  • Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • Current First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Gas Safety Awareness (highly desirable).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational capabilities and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
