Overview

We are currently looking to recruit a Site Maintenance Engineer for our client who are manufacturers of 350 different food and drink products based in Cardiff (CF24).

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team of engineers and alongside the Engineering Shift Team Leader to provide planned and reactive maintenance on the production lines and plant equipment.
• Develop innovation and technical skills to implement permanent fixes underpinning high performance.
• Fault finding and repair of mechanical and electrical issues, including Siemens PLC systems.

Qualifications and Skills

• Good experience within Engineering, ideally electrically biased with mechanical knowledge.
• Relevant qualifications to match the role.
• Ideally experience with PLCs (not required to code) and comfortable solving problems to solutions.
• Experience in the food/drink industry is beneficial but not essential; open to other industries.

Salary and Benefits

• Base Salary: £35,024.67
• Shift Allowance: £10,507.40
• Contractual Overtime: £3,414.90 (this is to compensate for shortfalls, may involve blocks of 2s & 3s)
• Total: £48,900

Working Hours

This is a rotating shift pattern - 2 on 2 off, 3 on 3 off, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
