A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to work on the upgrade of Dover Docks. The role requires expertise in setting out with total stations, reading construction drawings, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in delivering complex projects and hold a relevant civil engineering qualification. The contract is outside IR35.

We have a requirement for a Consultant Site Engineer to work on Dover Docks from 17 / 4 / 25 – 28 / 4 / 25 for holiday cover.
Client is carrying out the upgrade works to the former boat yard within the Dover Western Docks. This will comprise of installing new services, drainage and modular buildings as part of the new EES checks. There are also works to be undertaken in the Eastern Docks.
Experience required will be in setting out and surveys with robotic total station, locating existing services, working around live services, completing QA check sheets and diary, working with subcontractors.
Setting out using total stations, and to be able to undertake traditional setting out
Read and review construction drawings
Undertake basic take-offs
Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team
Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures
