Freelance Site Engineer - Highways & Structures (CIS) 6 Month Contract

Location: Warwickshire / West Midlands
Day Rate: Upto £400 per day (CIS)
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months

The Opportunity

A respected civil engineering contractor is delivering a package of highways and structural improvement works within the Midlands region. They are seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a CIS basis, supporting delivery across earthworks, drainage and structural elements including reinforced concrete works.

This is a great fit for an engineer seeking a stable medium-term contract on a technically interesting infrastructure scheme.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out for civils, drainage, earthworks and structural/RC works
• Managing and updating QA documentation (ITPs, check sheets, as-builts)
• Working with the site management team to ensure safe and compliant delivery
• Coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring technical standards are met
• Supporting temporary works processes
• Assisting with progress reporting and resolving engineering queries on-site

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways, civils or structures projects
• Competent with Total Station and GPS equipment
• Strong understanding of QA systems
• CSCS essential; SSSTS/SMSTS beneficial
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple work fronts
• Available for a 6 month CIS contract
