Job description

We are currently recruiting a Site Engineer on a freelance basis to support drainage works on a major highways scheme near Tewkesbury. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic infrastructure project with a focus on quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities:
·Set out drainage works in accordance with drawings and specifications.
·Ensure accurate levels and measurements using GPS/Total Station equipment.
·Provide technical input and support to site teams and subcontractors.
·Maintain and update site records, including as-built drawings and daily diaries.
·Conduct quality checks and ensure works are compliant with design and industry standards.
·Support the Site Agent with progress tracking and issue resolution.
·Assist with permits, ITPs, and other engineering documentation.

Requirements:
·Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on highways drainage or civil engineering projects.
·Proficient with surveying equipment (e.g., Leica, Trimble).
·Strong understanding of drainage systems, levels, and setting out procedures.
·Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, or degree in Civil Engineering).
·CSCS card (essential); SSSTS/SMSTS and First Aid (desirable).
·Able to interpret technical drawings and solve on-site issues effectively.
·Full UK driving licence and own kit preferred (but not essential).
