Overview

Earthworks / Highways Site Engineer - Coventry, West Midlands. Rate: £300 - £400 per day (CIS / Ltd). Job Type: Contract (12 months). Start Date: ASAP. You will be working with a top-tier civil engineering contractor on a fast-paced, large-scale roadworks scheme in Coventry.

Responsibilities

• Setting out for bulk earthworks, highways, drainage, and associated infrastructure
• Working from drawings and ensuring all works are completed to specification
• Supervising subcontractors and managing engineering elements on site
• Completing as-builts, QA documentation, site diaries, and progress reports
• Ensuring health & safety standards are met and promoting a safe working environment
• Liaising with site management, design teams, and client representatives

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years\' experience as a Site Engineer on earthworks or highways projects
• Strong setting out experience using GPS and Total Station (e.g. Trimble, Leica)
• Confident reading technical drawings and managing on-site engineering tasks
• Proficient with AutoCAD and familiar with QA procedures
• CSCS card required
• SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid (preferred but not essential)
• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering (HNC, HND, or Degree)
