A leading healthcare provider in the Tees Valley area is seeking a Simulation Support Technician to manage and coordinate simulation training equipment and support training programs. The ideal candidate should possess technical support skills, the ability to perform audits, and a professional registration. This role involves ensuring high standards in simulation training and providing resources for faculty. The role accommodates full-time and part-time applications and requires maintaining accurate records, benefiting from a supportive work environment.
This is a progression role to a band 4 on completion of all core competencies and simulation apprenticeship. The purpose of this role is to support the Simulation lecturers and be responsible for technical aspects of any simulation training courses that take place in situ within University Hospitals Tees (UHT).
The post holder will co‑ordinate the use and maintenance of all simulation training equipment within the Trust, act as a professional resource for all members of the hospital team and be a key resource for simulation training.

It is the policy of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who are new to the Trust and require DBS clearance for the post they have been offered must pay the cost for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is via salary deduction from the first month’s pay on commencement with the Trust. The DBS check will be undertaken during the pre‑employment check screening.

If the hours advertised for the post are up to full time (37.5 hours per week), applications are still welcomed from individuals who may be seeking to work less than full‑time hours and all requests will be considered in line with the post being appointed to for the successful applicant.
