Job description

London Based Rail contractor seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team in London. This Tier 1 Rail contractor wins work on high-profile projects and has a healthy order book, including a new project starting shortly.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager/Project Manager, you will undertake engineering duties both on site and in the office, including managing site installers.

Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience of Signalling installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Experience in technical approvals of signalling designs, including IDC/IDR review process
  • Experience working to relevant construction standards and tolerances
Desirable Requirements:
  • Experience of London Underground and Network Rail Signalling Systems
  • Good knowledge of other rail disciplines and their interfaces
  • Previous experience of managing sub-contractors
  • IT literate
  • educated to a degree level or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or relevant subject
The Role:

Includes production of paperwork such as WPP, TBS, Relevant Permits, Inspection and Test Plans, risk assessments, and producing As Builts and relevant assurance documentation. Management of on-site signalling installation, testing, and commissioning, working directly with the construction manager to plan and resource the works.
