Job summary

A leading cruise line is seeking a public health specialist to ensure the safety and sanitation standards on board. This role involves training crew, monitoring compliance with health regulations, and conducting inspections. Candidates should have at least four years of related managerial experience and possess a USPH Vessel Sanitation Certificate. Ideal candidates are committed to maintaining high health standards while providing an excellent service experience onboard. Qualifications

  • Minimum four years' experience in a Food Safety and Sanitation or Environmental Health related Managerial position.
  • USPH Vessel Sanitation Certificate required.
  • Food and Beverage operational experience preferred.
  • Experience in disease outbreak management and response.
  • Experience in Potable water and Swimming Pool sanitation preferred.
  • Ship experience preferred.
  • Proficient in facilitating training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as onboard public health specialist responsible for training department managers and crew.
  • Monitor compliance with national and international public health laws.
  • Conduct USPH classes for crew members.
  • Lead the Steward Team and ensure all stewarding duties are completed.
