Qualifications

• NEBOSH / IOSH Managing Safely is desirable.

Hours: 40 hours per week, 4 days per week on a rotational basis

Location: Whitmarsh Lane, Chineham, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG24 8LL

What you'll be doing

• Lead the team to deliver a smooth and safe shift on the ERF, organise resources (people, vehicles, equipment) to maximise wellbeing and plant efficiency
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of a modern Energy Recovery Facility, maximising performance while maintaining environmental standards
• Act as the Senior Authorised Person on shift and manage the activities of the operational shift and energy recovery facility operatives
• Manage activities of the plant and operatives during the Day Shift Team Leader role and when on shift outside normal hours
• Assist with VMR auditing, reporting and training
• Outage preparation
• Liaise with external contractors and act as the face of Veolia

What we're looking for

Essential

• Qualifications in an Engineering discipline (relevant to the waste or power industry) or equivalent experience
• Boiler operation and maintenance with burner combustions experience

Desirable

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent
• NEBOSH / IOSH Managing Safely
