As Shift Leader, you will work with the Branch Leadership Team and colleagues to support the Area Manager to ensure that your branch is Health, Safe and Legal at all times, maximising efficiency, availability and delivering great service to our customer.

It is a fast moving, challenging role that will give you great exposure to our vibrant customer base where you will have a direct influence over the service that we provide.

Responsibilities

Opening, closing and the complete operational running of the branch making the right decisions for the health and safety of our customers and colleagues, taking the lead in the absence of the Area Manager.

Supporting a Health, Safe and Legal culture; ensuring all colleagues are appropriately kept informed of any H&S and Security updates.

Ensuring that all colleagues maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment in which to work.

Compliance with company policies and procedures and mandatory training.

Leading by example, role modelling the Code of Business Conduct and Win Together Behaviours.

PRIDE being lived in the branch and that all colleagues focus on delivering great availability and service.

Supporting all colleagues during their induction and training.

Building and maintaining good working relationships internally, and externally.

Requirements

To be successful in this role your skills and experience will include:

An excellent communicator, with experience of supervising or managing a team.

A proven track record of coaching, motivating and guiding a team, as well as holding people accountable to deliver great service.

Flexible and adaptable with great problem solving skills.

Practical experience in the retail/wholesale trade.
