Job summary

A specialist recruiter in shipbuilding is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker in Glasgow. You will be responsible for the fabrication, fitting, and assembly of sheet metal components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to engineering standards. The ideal candidate will have a relevant apprenticeship and proven experience in heavy engineering or shipbuilding. This role offers competitive hourly rates depending on location and shift type.

Qualifications

  • Strong awareness of health & safety requirements within shipyard environments.

Responsibilities

  • Fabrication and installation of sheet metal components in line with engineering specifications.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Working with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
  • Performing fitting, cutting, bending, and welding tasks as required.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out to safety, quality, and production standards.
