A consulting firm in London is seeking an experienced SharePoint Infrastructure Specialist to provide technical support for a critical GDPR compliance project. The role involves managing SharePoint Online, leading file migrations, and troubleshooting issues. Ideal candidates will have hands-on SharePoint experience and expertise in regulatory environments such as legal or financial services. This is a contract position for 3 months starting immediately.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical delivery support for the GDPR project, focused on SharePoint Online.
  • Lead and support file migrations to SharePoint Cloud, including complex permissions.
  • Troubleshoot SharePoint-related issues and provide expert guidance.

Skills

Proven hands-on experience managing SharePoint Online / M365 environments
Strong experience with file migrations to SharePoint, including permissions management
Solid knowledge of Active Directory (AD) groups and Entra ID group setup and administration
Expertise in data retention and compliance tooling for PII/GDPR
High level of SharePoint SME knowledge, including UX, site configuration, and user adoption
Strong stakeholder communication skills

SharePoint Infrastructure Specialist - GDPR Project

Contract: 3 months | Location: Central London (near Aldgate Station) | Start: Immediate / ASAP

We're seeking an experienced SharePoint Specialist to provide short‑term technical delivery support for a critical GDPR compliance project. This role supports regulatory obligations relating to the management of unstructured data within document shares.

This is a hands‑on contract role, ideal for a SharePoint SME with strong experience in regulated environments such as banking, insurance, legal, or financial services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical delivery support for the GDPR project, focused on SharePoint Online
  • Lead and support file migrations to SharePoint Cloud, including complex permissions
  • Configure and administer SharePoint infrastructure, including access, settings, storage, migration, archiving, and maintenance
  • Support phased implementations across multiple business units
  • Design and set up SharePoint sites, including tree sizing, site structuring, and governance
  • Define and support an effective support and operating model
  • Troubleshoot SharePoint‑related issues and provide expert guidance
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven hands‑on experience managing SharePoint Online / M365 environments
  • Strong experience with file migrations to SharePoint, including permissions management
  • Solid knowledge of Active Directory (AD) groups and Entra ID group setup and administration
  • Experience delivering SharePoint solutions across multiple business units
  • Expertise in data retention and compliance tooling for PII/GDPR, such as Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Priva, M365 Compliance tools and related data governance solutions
  • High level of SharePoint SME knowledge, including UX, site configuration, and user adoption
Desirable Experience
  • Background in banking, insurance, legal, or financial services
  • Experience working on GDPR or regulatory compliance programmes
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
