A leading Defence recruitment agency is looking for a Service Transition Manager to oversee the transition of new services into operation in a hybrid role based in Corsham. The ideal candidate will have strong ITIL experience and a background in Defence. They will be responsible for leading transition planning and managing stakeholder communication to ensure operational readiness with minimal disruption. This role offers an initial contract of 3 months, likely extending until March 2027.
Ex-Mil Recruitment are supporting a major Defence programme in sourcing an experienced Service Transition Manager, with significant ITIL experience, to lead the movement of a new multi-domain communications capability from development into fully operational service.
This is a high-impact role within a secure Defence environment, ensuring the seamless introduction of new services and technologies with minimal disruption to end users.
This role requires current SC status, and the successful candidate must be eligible for DV.
The contract is for an initial 3 months, but is highly likely to be extended until March 2027. A hybrid role – 2-3 days on site in Corsham.
You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the complete service transition lifecycle—working closely with project teams, service owners, technical leads, and support personnel to ensure operational readiness is fully achieved. Your work will ensure that new services are accredited, tested, deployed, and accepted into live service in a structured and controlled manner. The ideal candidate will bring strong ITIL experience, Defence delivery background, and confidence working across multiple security domains.
