Service Manager / Reg Manager / Supported Accommodation (16-18 Years or 18 plus)

Location: Harrow, London

Salary: £60,000 per annum + Performance Bonuses + Benefits

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Our client is dedicated to transforming the lives of young people aged 16-18 who are transitioning into independence. Based in Harrow, our clients supported accommodation services provide a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment where young people can develop essential life skills, gain stability, and build brighter futures. They are now seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead their growing service and ensure full compliance with Ofsted's regulatory framework for supported accommodation. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a service that truly makes a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.

Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance
    Act as the Ofsted Registered Manager for Headway Housing, ensuring full compliance with the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF) for supported accommodation.
  • Regulatory Leadership
    Lead the service through Ofsted registration and inspections, maintaining positive outcomes. Keep all policies and procedures up to date in line with statutory requirements and best practices.
  • Leadership & Management
    Provide inspirational leadership to the team, fostering a culture of professionalism, compassion, and accountability.
  • Staff Development & Safeguarding
    Oversee recruitment, training, supervision, and development of staff in line with safer recruitment principles. Ensure robust safeguarding, risk management, and reporting procedures are embedded and followed at all times.
  • Operational Delivery
    Oversee the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support is delivered to all residents.
  • Partnerships
    Work collaboratively with local authorities, social workers, and partner agencies to ensure effective placement matching and support.
  • Planning & Monitoring
    Monitor and review support plans, pathway plans, and outcomes to meet the evolving needs of each young person.
Quality Assurance & Improvement
  • Quality Improvement
    Conduct regular audits and evaluations to drive continuous improvement across the service.
  • Incident & Safeguarding
    Respond to incidents, complaints, and safeguarding concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Compliance & Records
    Maintain accurate records and ensure GDPR compliance.
Person Specification

Essential:

  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship)
  • Management experience within a children's or young people's service.
  • Sound understanding of Ofsted registration and inspection processes.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or working towards this.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing teams, performance, and service budgets.
  • Enhanced DBS, Children and Adults and on the update service

Desirable:

  • Experience working in semi-independent living or supported accommodation.
  • Understanding of care leavers, young people in transition, and UASC.
  • Full UK driving licence.
