Job summary

A leading social care provider in the UK is seeking a Service Manager for the day-to-day operation of supported living homes. You will lead and motivate a team to provide quality, person-centered support while ensuring compliance with care standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in social care, a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care, and a strong commitment to supporting individuals with learning difficulties. Qualifications

  • Experience in social care supporting individuals with learning difficulties is essential.

Job description

As Service Manager you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of supported living homes and community support services. You'll provide motivational leadership and direction to your team, enabling them to provide quality, person centred support to the people we support. You'll enjoy building positive relationships with all stakeholders and put our vision and values into action. We host monthly cooperative and family meetings to encourage engagement, share feedback and build stronger connections. You'll carry out frequent reviews of the support requirements provided, including service delivery plans, support plans, progress log and risk assessments following the principles and practices of person-centred and relationship-centred Active Support. You'll manage a team of support workers with responsibility for all aspects of team management and development as well as encouraging and coaching them to creatively problem solve and develop.   • experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
  • Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards)
  • a strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential
  • a working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
  • flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
  • access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 45p per mile to cover this
  • a drivers licence and happy to travel for meetings and training.
