Job description
Overview

Service Manager vacancy at a main dealer site in Taunton. Salary £50,000 basic OTE £65,000. Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm.

This is an opportunity to manage a busy, well-established main dealer department for a prestige brand. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Workshop, managing Technicians/Mechanics, ensuring Service Advisors are customer-focused and achieving upselling targets, and monitoring KPIs.

You will work closely with senior management to meet key objectives and strategies, continually looking to improve the department and exceed targets. You should take pride in customer service, work well with staff, and make the department your own in a busy environment with a strong local reputation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the service department, including day-to-day workshop operations.
  • Lead Technicians/Mechanics to achieve maximum productivity.
  • Ensure Service Advisors maintain high customer focus and achieve upselling targets to budget; monitor KPIs.
  • Collaborate with senior management to meet objectives and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Drive departmental performance and exceed targets while fostering a positive team culture.
Qualifications
  • Aftersales/Service Management background is essential; main dealership experience is essential. At least 3 years’ experience required.
  • Experience with Kerridge, Pinnacle and 1 Link would be advantageous.
  • Open to candidates from prestige or volume backgrounds based on proven qualities.
