Salary: £33,961 with yearly increments up to £38,752

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Service Manager to join our dedicated team in Sheffield.

As the Service Manager you will provide strong visible leadership for our St Barts team, supervising the day‑to‑day running of the service and promoting the service. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to make a meaningful contribution to our St Barts service and create a positive environment to encourage service users to feel empowered to achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with people with multiple complex needs including autism, learning disabilities and diagnosed mental health conditions. You will have a broad understanding and knowledge of mental health pathways and psychological interventions. Above all we are looking for an empathic person‑centred and understanding individual to help support and lead the team.

General Tasks
  • Be the main point of contact for staff commissioners and external agencies.
  • Promote the service to a wide audience building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and improve service delivery ensuring it meets high standards and supports recovery.
  • Lead and supervise the Team Leader and Recovery Case Workers fostering a culture of good practice.
  • Oversee property and VOID management including inspections repairs and tenancy transitions.
  • Champion creative trauma‑informed approaches to reduce inequality and promote mental health recovery.
  • Stay informed on mental health and learning disability pathways policies and best practices.
  • Act as the safeguarding lead ensuring safety and compliance across the service.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant field (mental health, psychology, health, and social care).
  • Level 3 5 in management and/or coaching or willing to undertake.
  • An individual who embraces challenges enthusiastically.
  • An understanding of the principles of Psychologically Informed Environments and Trauma Informed Practice.
  • At least 5 years experience supporting people with multiple complex needs, particularly with mental health and learning disabilities.
  • At least 3 years experience managing commissioned services.
  • Experience building successful professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience writing reports.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle.
