The Student Wellbeing, Disability and Inclusion Service provides high quality support to students. Comprising two teams: Wellbeing & Welfare and Disability & Inclusion, providing holistic clinical and solution focussed support to enable students to engage successfully with their studies. The service offers a multi-disciplinary approach to student wellbeing, working collaboratively to achieve excellent outcomes for students.
We are looking to appoint a full-time Administrative Coordinator to work within our Student Wellbeing Team at York St John University.
The post-holder will provide skilled, high-level administrative support which underpins the effective running of the University’s Wellbeing Team. This includes allocating and communicating appointments for students, monitoring waiting times and key service data, fielding initial enquiries from a range of sources, administering the waiting list, making decisions about when to escalate issues, and assisting with a range of other administration duties.
The role also requires that the post-holder will develop and maintain relationships across the university community, working as part of the broader Student Services teams and the Student Success & Learning Services directorate. They will connect with colleagues, working together to ensure students are properly signposted to relevant and appropriate support.
The successful candidate will be joining the University at an exciting time, as we implement service developments to further improve the student experience.
With a background of working in a customer-focussed environment, the successful candidate will have significant experience of providing a high standard of administrative support.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to respond effectively in challenging interactions with customers.
In addition, the post-holder will have experience of making standard day-to-day decisions, such as how best to prioritise, organise and undertake work, whilst maintaining safety and confidentiality.
