Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine product designs using 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA or equivalent).
• Design and specify tooling solutions to support new product introduction (NPI).
• Liaise with toolmakers, suppliers, and internal manufacturing teams to ensure tooling suitability, efficiency, and robustness.
• Conduct feasibility studies and design-for-manufacture (DFM) assessments.
• Support prototype builds, pre-production trials, and product validation testing.
• Generate and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities across tooling, processes, and product designs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.

Required Skills

• Engineering Qualifications to support experience
• Demonstrable experience in tooling design and development within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong 3D CAD modelling and 2D technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g Pressings, Assembly CNC machining)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and structured engineering approach.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience of New Product Introduction (NPI) or similar product lifecycle processes.
• Familiarity with DFMA principles.
