Are you an experienced Technical Coordinator or Engineer looking for a step up? A leading UK..housebuilder is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to join their established regional team in Wolverhampton. collapse.

Senior Technical Manager role sits at a level equivalent to a Senior Engineer or Engineering Manager, reporting directly to the Technical Team Manager.

The Role
  • Project Leadership: Take full ownership of two complex development sites.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and support 1-2 junior team members in their daily tasks.
  • Design Management: Control the complete design process, managing external consultants and liaising with statutory and local authorities.
  • Compliance: Ensure all designs meet current legislation, Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and Planning requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to drive projects forward proactively.
The Ideal Candidate

Our client is specifically looking for a technical professional with a strong engineering bias. While you may currently be a Technical Coordinator, you must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the engineering elements of a project rather than just architectural elements.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years within the housing industry as an Engineer or Technical Coordinator.
  • Technical Knowledge: Excellent working knowledge of Highways, Drainage, Building Regs, and NHBC Standards.
  • Mindset: A proactive, "problem‑solving" approach to design development and site‑based issues.
  • Leadership: Ability to mentor junior staff and manage high‑pressure, complex projects.
