We are looking for a Senior Tech Art Engineer to join one of our teams currently working on an Unreal Engine 5 remake.

Superpowers you have:

• Proficiency in Blueprints, with the ability to develop tools for artists and support simple game-play prototypes;
• The capacity to take ownership over systems, ensuring optimal solutions that align with the Art Direction and stay within the performance budget;
• In-depth knowledge of complex, real-time shaders, to create advanced materials for environments and support VFX and game-play mechanics;
• Extensive multi-platform performance profiling and optimization experience.

You’re a rockstar if you have:

• Knowledge of procedural content creation (such as Houdini or PCG) is a plus;
• Basic programming experience in C++ or Python is a plus.

Becoming part of Room 8 Group, you will:

• Working with gameplay programmers and artists to execute on technical vision and implement/prototype performant visual systems;
• Diagnosing and addressing performance issues and mitigating bottlenecks to ensure smooth game-play;
• Prototyping procedural generation systems and implementing tools and configurations for batch content processing and creation;
• Implementing shaders and materials for complex effects and ensuring optimal Niagara performance configuration;
• Configuring and working with level and texture streaming setups as well as optimizing them for memory usage and performance;
• Ensuring visuals and performance are kept on par between different platforms and advising on content pipelines and implementation for said platforms.
