A leading company in the care sector is seeking two experienced Senior Support Workers in Cwmbran. We are currently recruiting two experienced Senior Support Workers to join our team at a nursing home that provides specialist care for individuals with mental health conditions, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and dementia.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires confidence, compassion, and excellent organisational skills. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality care delivery and maintaining a safe, supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Administer and manage medication safely in accordance with policies and procedures
Allocate daily staff duties and coordinate shift planning
Liaise professionally with GPs, social workers, external agencies, and family members
Support residents with personal care, emotional wellbeing, and daily activities
Maintain accurate records, care plans, and reports
Promote dignity, independence, and person-centred care for all residents
Mentor and guide support staff and assist with training and development
Assist in safeguarding and ensuring compliance with all relevant care regulations
Proven experience working as a Senior Support Worker or in a similar supervisory care role
Medication administration experience is essential
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) desirable
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and bank holidays if required
A caring, compassionate, and proactive approach
