Overview

City of Westminster, London, Greater London, England SW1W

Role: Senior Staff Nurse - Imaging/IR

Location: The Lister Hospital (with some rotation to Chelsea Outpatients Centre, Kings Road and Chiswick Medical Centre, W4 4HS)

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week

Shift times: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 8:00pm) plus on call

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Responsibilities
  • Provide a professional standard of excellence in nursing services for all patients.
  • Competent in all areas of Imaging Nursing, including assisting with one stop breast clinics, imaging-guided drainages and biopsies, Interventional Radiology cases and therapeutic procedures.
  • Share clinical knowledge with multi-disciplinary colleagues formally (through CPD sessions/clinical competency forms) and informally (ad hoc teaching/training opportunities).
  • Participate in regular mandatory training relating to safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, ensuring compliance in escalation of any safeguarding concerns.
  • Assist bookings clerks and Radiographers in the booking of immediate appointments.
  • Form an effective working relationship with Consultants, medical, radiographic and administrative staff within the Department and the hospital as a whole.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Hold a BSc (or equivalent) in Nursing and hold a current UK NMC registration meeting PREP requirement.
  • Experience in Imaging/IR is essential.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Imaging nursing through CPD/protocol development within a radiology area.
  • Have a portfolio of relevant CPD.
  • Postgraduate qualification within imaging or another relevant area.
  • Previous experience in working with paediatrics is an advantage.
Additional Information
  • Flexibility to travel to other sites (Chiswick & Nine Elms) as required.
