Overview

Adults Safeguarding Senior Social Worker – Swansea

Pay rate up to £41.58 Umbrella. This is a temporary agency social worker role for 1 x full-time position within the Adults Safeguarding team to join Swansea City Council Adults Services. Rate of pay is £33 (PAYE) or Umbrella rate £41.58. This is a temporary position for 3 months initially.

Responsibilities
  • Be office based at the Guildhall, Swansea on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The remainder of the week can be home based.
  • Work full time (37 hours) as part of the Adults Safeguarding team.
  • Handle Adult at Risk Reports and undertake Section 126 enquiries in line with the All-Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
  • Provide advice and guidance on safeguarding issues; attend Multi-agency Safeguarding Meetings (e.g., MAPPA and MARAC); undertake suicide prevention work.
  • Promote a person-centred, collaborative approach and provide consistent guidance to colleagues, citizens of Swansea, and partner agencies in line with Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
  • Engage in learning and reflective practice through regular peer group sessions and team meetings to support safeguarding work.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS
  • 3 years of references
  • Driving licence with access to a car
