What You Will Do:
  • Conduct home and school visits to safeguard children according to statutory guidelines.
  • Manage complex caseloads including Child Protection Plans, Children in Need, and Children in Care within care proceedings.
  • Initiate Public Law Outline and Care Proceedings, preparing witness statements and care plans for court.
  • Perform dynamic assessments such as parenting capacity, sibling, and kinship evaluations to inform court decisions.
  • Lead Child Protection Enquiries under Section 47 of the Children Act 1989 and contribute to Child Protection Conferences.
  • Convene and chair Core Group Meetings, implementing and reviewing Child in Need Plans.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to build strong family support networks.
  • Prepare Court Reports for Private Law Proceedings (Section 7 and 37 Reports).
  • Facilitate “Stability Meetings” and conduct direct work to prevent placement breakdowns and promote family wellbeing.
