A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Senior SHE Advisor for an initial 12-month contract based in Reading, England. Candidates must have over 5 years of SHE experience within the Nuclear industry and the ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC). The role is pivotal for ensuring compliance with SHE management systems and involves influencing and supporting teams to achieve SHE performance objectives. Strong SHE knowledge and effective communication are essential for this position.
IR35 Status: Can be either Outside or Inside IR35
Requirements: Able to obtain SC clearance, 5 years SHE Experience within the Nuclear industry
Our client has been contracted for the design and build of a facility near Reading. The scope of works for this project includes Programme Management, Construction, Building Services (M&E), Instrumentation and Control Systems, and various external works.
Concurrent activities, including commissioning and operational systems, are ongoing with permanent live services in use across the project. Transitioning from an active construction site into a hybrid environment brings new SHE challenges. The Senior SHE Advisor role will be pivotal in ensuring site behaviours and practices align with both the client and end‑client expectations. Effective communication and the ability to influence behaviours are essential qualities for this role, in addition to strong SHE knowledge and experience.
This is an on‑site role based in Reading, Burghfield. Candidates must have, or be able to obtain, Security Clearance (SC). Existing SC is preferred.
