Senior Clinical Rotational Pharmacist
Band 7 (Full-time + EDC)
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Croydon Health Services (CHS) for a dedicated and organised pharmacist to support the clinical pharmacy services team. Our Pharmacy Services are highly respected and our staff work closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
The successful applicant will have previous hospital pharmacy experience, having provided clinical services to a variety of clinical environments. You will join a team of dynamic, senior, rotational pharmacists, gaining valuable experience across a number of clinical areas (for example, acute and specialist medicine, surgery and critical care, antimicrobials and medicines information).
Under the guidance of your lead directorate pharmacist, you will be introduced to core directorate activities of reporting and analysis of medicines expenditure, clinical governance and risk management. You will be responsible for co‑developing pharmacy services and providing professional cover and training to junior pharmacists. You will have the opportunity to undertake the Independent Prescribing Qualification.
We were one of the first Trusts in London to launch electronic prescribing and administration for inpatients and outpatients and are continuing to develop the system. We work closely across the interface to deliver innovative work to improve the quality of patient care and experience across the primary/secondary care boundary.

The post holder will provide a Clinical Pharmacy service to a defined specialty on a rotational basis. They will deputise for the Lead Directorate Pharmacist in the delivery of the directorate responsibilities and duties and will assist in providing and maintaining a safe and efficient pharmaceutical service to a cohort of patients in accordance with Trust policies. They will support and supervise less experienced pharmacists on rotation. They will deliver, develop and evaluate specialist clinical pharmacy services in accordance with the objectives set by their section lead. Each rotation has been designed to develop clinical, specialist and leadership skills, ensuring the development of a well‑rounded and capable pharmacist.
