Senior Support Worker - 2 bedded Children’s Residential Home

Location: Manchester

Salary: £27,144 - £36,192 per annum, plus £52 per sleep

Hours: Full‑time, Permanent

Shifts: 3 x 12 hour shifts – plus sleeps

Successful Senior Residential Support Worker candidates can choose between a 36 hour, 40 hour or 48 hour permanent contract.

About the Role

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting young people with EBD needs in a safe, children centred and structured environment. You will offer support with a team of residential support workers, ensuring the highest quality of care is consistently delivered while promoting positive outcomes for the children and young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of care staff
  • Ensure all safeguarding, compliance, and quality standards are met
  • Support the development and implementation of individual care plans
  • Build trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals
  • Be part of the on‑call rota and cover shifts when required
Requirements
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
  • Previous experience in a senior or team leader role within a children’s residential setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in young people’s lives
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep‑in shifts
  • Driver with access to own car
