A leading health service provider in the UK is hiring an experienced B6 nurse for their community team. The role involves providing holistic nursing care and support for children with life-limiting conditions, emphasizing communication and teamwork. Candidates should have extensive experience in paediatric palliative care and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This position requires a Registered Nurse on the Nursing and Midwifery Council Registers and offers opportunities for professional development.
We are currently expanding the community team at SEL, and have an opportunity for an experienced B6 nurse to join the team.
You will need to be a car driver and have access to your own vehicle. We are looking for a nurse who has extensive paediatric palliative care nursing experience, is flexible and demonstrates excellent communication skills and a strong professional approach. You will need to be a good team player, whilst also being able to work autonomously and manage your own caseload. The role can be very varied, and will involve teaching, problem solving and care delivery.

To provide holistic nursing care and support to children and young people with lifelimiting/life threatening conditions and their families/carers, utilising the skills,knowledge and expertise of the qualified practitioner in a variety of situations, working on their own initiative and accessing and contributing to the skill base of the wider team. Working in collaboration with other services to best meet the needs of the child/youngperson and their family. To take the lead as the Nurse in Charge and participate in the on‑call rota. Deputise in the absence of the Team Leader or Lead Nurse. To safeguard all children and young people accessing services; by responding to concerns raised in a timely and appropriate manner and effectively escalating, acting and referring these in accordance with policies and procedures.
