Senior Quantity Surveyor - Rail (Huddersfield)
Salary: Up to £80,000 + package OR competitive day rate

A highly regarded UK civil engineering contractor with a strong national reputation in rail infrastructure is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Huddersfield-based team. You'll be part of a company delivering high-profile rail projects, working with major clients and Tier 1 main contractors.

This role is site-based 2-3 days per week, with the remaining time working from home, offering the right balance of on-site engagement and flexible working.

The Role:
  • Take full commercial responsibility for NEC3/NEC4 contracts on rail projects
  • Prepare accurate cost forecasts, valuations, reporting, and change control
  • Manage procurement, negotiation, and accounts for subcontractors and suppliers
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks across multiple packages
  • Work closely with project delivery teams, clients, and Tier 1 contractors
