Salary: £47,000 - £60,000 per annum

The Role

Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of cost and commercial management services on a variety of projects. You will oversee client relationships, manage junior colleagues and ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standards of value, compliance and financial control. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets and cash flow forecasts
  • Leading contract administration and ensuring compliance with commercial procedures
  • Managing procurement processes, tendering and bid evaluation
  • Reviewing and agreeing variations, valuations and final accounts
  • Providing strategic cost advice and reporting to clients and stakeholders
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team

The Person

To Be Successful In This Role, You Should Have

  • Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction, infrastructure or consultancy environments
  • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (NEC, JCT or similar)
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills with the ability to lead relationships
  • Good leadership and mentoring ability to support junior colleagues
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, with professional membership (or working towards chartership) highly desirable
