- SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday approximately 45+ hours a week

Summary: This role involves leading and performing engineering projects focused on manufacturing, automation, equipment/process engineering, and continuous improvement, including equipment redesign.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and leading implementations of operational mechanical maintenance projects on time and within budget.
- Supporting specification, evaluation, acquisition, installation, and qualification of equipment.
- Managing project plans, progress reports, and status updates.
- Collaborating with electrical engineers, PLC technicians, maintenance, and others for electromechanical product designs.
- Preparing environmental reports complying with federal, state, and local standards.
- Utilizing Continuous Improvement techniques and MES to enhance safety, quality, and equipment effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of related experience in manufacturing or food production environments.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite; advanced skills preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
- Knowledge of project work structures and documentation.
- Strong communication skills for creating dashboards, project timelines, and reports.
- Proficiency in AutoDesk 2D and 3D CAD software and MS Project.
- Ability to analyze electro-mechanical systems using calculus, mechanics, and materials knowledge.
- Experience leading and directing teams.
- Physical ability to work in varied environments and lift up to 50 pounds.
Physical requirements and work environment:
- Work in office and manufacturing environments with temperature variations.
- Sedentary work for extended periods.
- Use of computer equipment for long durations.
