Senior Project Manager
Purpose of the job: To lead, direct, coordinate and implement one or several of our key projects with multi-disciplinary teams delivering projects such that the customer's requirements are delivered and Nuvia's performance and profit margins are met. To meet time, quality and cost requirements to deliver project safety ensuring compliance within highly regulated sectors and clients.

Key Accountabilities
- Able to pick up delivery (through effecting efficient hand-over) of an existing project part way through the project life cycle to continue delivery through to successful completion.
- For new projects launches the project and establishes effective communication routes.
- Prepares and approves proposals and specifications under the direction of a Project Sponsor.
- Under the direction and with the assistance of the Project Sponsor and Nominated Engineer plans, monitors and controls project costs, resources and programme across multidisciplinary teams.
- Supports the key technical leads to ensure relevant technical solutions are applied.
- Under the direction of the Project Sponsor and Nominated Engineer supports supervising project teams to maintain required standards of quality and safety.
- Takes a leading role to assess and mitigate project risks.
- Delivers the project in accordance with the PMP.
- Efficient & Effective Handover of Existing Projects: Arranges and holds Review Meetings with Project Sponsor & Nominated Engineer to establish current status and ensure a smooth transition.
- Able to appraise existing information and, with active dialogue, quickly understand project requirements, stakeholders, complexities, delivery model & arrangements, risk and mitigation strategies.
- Proactively gain understanding of project requirements for internal and external stakeholders with a focus on planning and forecasting against delivery timelines.
- Promotes an effective communication approach from the outset with the project and client teams and monitors/reporting requirements (internal and external).
- Launches the Project and Establishes Communication Routes: arranges/inaugurates contract review, sets up project team, mobilises resources, holds project start-up meeting, and establishes internal/external communications.
- Maintains close dialogue with customer and other project stakeholders; supports the customer in project dealings with external agencies and customer stakeholders; holds regular progress meetings with the customer; satisfies security requirements on the project.
- Prepares Proposals, Specifications and Strategy Documents (in conjunction with Project Sponsor & Nominated Engineer) and prepares Project Management Plan, Procurement Strategy, Safety Plan and Document Deliverables Schedule.
- Establishes Budgets and sets up project accounts; sets up WBS and accounting structure to suit WBS.
- Prepares Subcontract Proposals and Specifications; assists in production of proposal and subcontract review; manages production of ITTs/specifications and conducts tender exercises; assesses tender costs and performance indicators and lets subcontract; includes costs in WBS and accounting system.
- Monitor and Control Project Costs, Resources (internal and external) and Programme; maintain records and take corrective action; authorise internal and external expenditure; support the Nominated Engineer to track progress and resource usage and mitigate deviations; produce periodic progress reports for customer and internal MPRs; identify and agree contract deviations.
- Place contracts/orders on behalf of the project and the customer; deliver project in accordance with PMP.
- Supervise Project Teams to achieve Desired Standards of Safety and Quality; set up the Construction Phase in conjunction with the Construction Function Manager.

- Demonstrable experience in successful Engineering Project delivery, with significant demonstrable competence gained in a senior project management position.
- Leadership/People management skills, Stakeholder management, Communication skills at all levels across the business, motivational and astute and unfazed at working to tight deadlines. Client focused.
- Able to work on complex multidisciplinary projects with a range of technical staff, remaining agile and able to adapt as projects and client needs evolve, whilst preserving and being mindful of the company's contractual & commercial position.
- Ability to challenge the "norm" to promote continuous improvement and promote the highest of standards at all times.
- Good communication skills with the ability to interact and work effectively at all levels with both the company and a range of clients.
