A leading defence and technology organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a high-value weapons testing portfolio. This role involves engaging with cross-functional teams and managing customer relationships, ensuring successful project deliveries while adhering to safety standards. Candidates must have leadership experience and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics, with APM accreditation preferred. This position is based in Bristol, with the possibility of flexible travel across various UK locations.
As a Senior Project Manager you will contribute to the successful delivery of a High Value Weapons Safety and Suitability for Service Test and Evaluation Portfolio. The Portfolio is one of four programme areas within the Weapons Services & Investment IDT and is responsible for delivery of the assessment activity related to high hazard weapons, munitions, and energetics via live testing and the provision of assurance-based evidence. Day-to-day, you'll lead cross functional teams and develop close working relationships with customers and direct reports alike, supporting functional leads and wider project stakeholders, working closely with operational and engineering teams is fundamental to ensure that safety of our activities is maintained at all times. Key customers are based in the Bristol area and other locations around the UK. The ability to travel flexibly is a critical element of the role.
