We are looking for a Senior Product Sales Manager to join the Rowan Patents, part of Clarivate team. This is an amazing opportunity to work on Rowan Patents which is the leading software solution for drafting patents.

Overview

The Senior Product Sales Manager is responsible for steering sales strategy and delivering market expansion for a high-impact product line, Rowan Patents. Drives alignment across a matrixed sales organization, develops innovative sales pipelines, and cultivates and manages high-level relationships with key stakeholders to achieve sales goals and business objectives. Presents product solutions tailored to the priorities, requirements and needs of current and prospective customers. Serves as a trusted advisor, ensuring customers achieve their goals through effective solution presentations, workshops, trials and/or proof of concepts. Leverage expertise to play a critical role in enhancing customer satisfaction and retention.

About You

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Experience drafting patent applications and/or related documents
  • 7+ Years of Relevant Experience, with 3+ years of Sales Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent and preferably a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, chemistry, biology, or other technical fields
It would be great if you also have
  • In-depth knowledge of EPO patent filing requirements
  • Prior experience successfully selling into law firms and/or corporate legal teams
What will you be doing in this role?
  • Serve as a primary contact for a high-impact product line (Rowan), cultivating and managing strong relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Utilize advanced sales and negotiation techniques to engage with high-value customers, drive market expansion, and address complex challenges while building and nurturing high-level customer partnerships.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets ensuring alignment with Clarivate’s sales objectives and contributing significantly to revenue growth.
  • Leverage working knowledge of patent preparation and prosecution to support clients (attorneys and paralegals) using Rowan software to draft and prosecute patents; help drive adoption of software through hands-on engagement with clients; lead the development of best practices for product deployment and usage.
  • Continuously deepen industry knowledge and product expertise to maintain a competitive advantage while applying advanced insights to refine sales planning and enhance overall commercial success.
  • Acquire a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and be able to defend our solutions and capabilities against competitive offerings.
  • Provide sales insights, market and customer feedback to senior leadership across Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners; collaborate with product teams to provide insights that inform future product roadmaps and enhancements.
About the Team

This role reports into the Director, IP Sales Central Europe and will work as part of a team of 7 Account Managers and Product Sales Managers and will collaborate with wider teams across the business.

Hours of Work

Full-time, permanent role, some business travel required.
