Job summary

An innovative research and development company in Hampshire is seeking a Senior Process Chemist to lead in the development, optimisation, and scale-up of chemical processes. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and experience in process scale-up and the chemical manufacturing industry. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Senior Leadership team and customers to ensure safe and sustainable processes.

Qualifications

• Have a degree, Masters (MChem, MSc, MSci) or PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Industrial experience in process chemistry with expertise in process scale-up.
• Previous experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop chemical manufacturing processes, leading scale-up activities from laboratory to production.
• Oversee technical transfers to customer sites.
• Provide technical chemistry expertise to manufacturing.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Process Chemist to join an innovative research and development company in Hampshire.

As a Senior Process Chemist, you will lead in the development, optimisation and scale-up of chemical processes. Working with the Senior Leadership team and directly with customers, you will lead projects ensuring processes are safe, compliant, and sustainable.

Duties include:

• Develop chemical manufacturing processes, leading scale-up activities from laboratory to production.
• Oversee technical transfers to customer sites.
• Provide technical chemistry expertise to manufacturing and troubleshoot chemical processes at scale.
• Write technical reports and process documentation.
• Represent the company at conferences.

Ideal candidates will:

Have a degree, Masters (MChem, MSc, MSci) or PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and have industrial experience in process chemistry with expertise in process scale-up and pilot plant.

You will have previous experience in the chemical manufacturing industry leading process development projects from laboratory to pilot plant/production.
