About the Role

We are looking for a confident and highly skilled Senior Practitioner to join our Fostering Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced social worker who is ready to step into a leadership role, offering practice expertise and support to the wider team.

As a Senior Practitioner, you will be a key figure in the delivery of high-quality fostering services. You will provide day-to-day support and professional advice to social care staff and help ensure that departmental policies, safeguarding standards, and service goals are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a highly experienced and skilled practitioner within the fostering team
  • Provide daily practice support, guidance, and mentorship to social workers
  • Promote high standards of safeguarding and ensure that procedures are followed
  • Support the Team Manager in the development and implementation of services
  • Contribute to staff development and deliver professional supervision
  • Assist in certain aspects of team and service management
  • Ensure delivery of efficient, effective, and child-focused fostering services
  • Uphold and model best practices in fostering and permanence planning
