Job description

Senior Practitioner - Family Support & Protection Team

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Senior Practitioner within the Family Support & Protection Team to work full time based in Harlow.

The salary for this permanent Senior Practitioner role is up to £49,183 per annum.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring high-quality social work input aligned with best practices and guidance, within a partnership framework.
  2. Model professional behavior and promote authoritative practice within the service.
  3. Progress children's plans according to local protocols, including writing statements, providing evidence in court, and other related duties.
  4. Maintain accurate electronic case records and contribute to database development.
  5. Provide advice, mentoring, coaching, and guidance to colleagues, including co-working and court report assistance.
  6. Support service development in partnership with other agencies to enable children to stay safely at home where possible.
  7. Promote the welfare of children in care, considering their individual backgrounds and circumstances.
  8. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with legislation, policies, and social work practices.
  9. Collaborate with senior management to develop and improve the service, ensuring high standards and effective use of performance data.
  10. Undertake additional duties consistent with the role's objectives.
Requirements:
  • A recognized Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
