Overview

Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority in Colchester to recruit for a Senior Practitioner in the Children in Care team within the Social Care industry on a permanent basis. Salary: GBP46,574 to GBP56,027 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Attending Court
• Court Reports
• Case management
• LAC reviews
• Conducting reviews
• Adoption
• Permanency
• Pathway Planning
• Section 20 care orders
• Visit children and young people in placement, develop permanency plans which include Special Guardianship Order (SGO) and adoption
• Undertake life-story work to enable a child to understand the reasons for being in care and also support children to return home to birth family

Experience

• Post qualifying experience of working as a Senior Practitioner - Children in Care Team within the UK Social Care industry.
• Experience of chairing meetings involving clients, family members and/or carers and other multi-agency professionals.

Minimum Requirements

• HCPC Registration
• 4 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
• Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Driving licence and car or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means is essential.
