A major public service organization in the UK is seeking a Senior Operational Leader to drive performance and deliver exceptional customer service in front-facing roles. The successful candidate will lead teams, make sound decisions, and foster collaborations while ensuring quality outcomes. Extensive travel across multiple offices is required, and the role will not consider hybrid working arrangements.
As part of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Operational Delivery you will be at the heart of DWP's front line operations helping to change peoples lives in our communities from around the 20 million plus customer base.
DWP is responsible for helping people move into employment, supporting pensioners and protecting some of the most vulnerable in our society. We help people lift themselves out of poverty and to stay out of poverty, through work, saving and support. This is a hugely important public service, and our challenge is bigger than ever.
DWP are looking to fill Senior Operational Leader roles within West & South Yorkshire Districts. These are key roles and we welcome applications from people with strong leadership skills who are energetic and enthusiastic, to deliver exceptional customer service, with quality outcomes for our customers. You will be able to make sound decisions, drive performance, work collaboratively and lead others. A focus on building collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, partners and organisations to deliver excellent service. Through role modelling positive behaviour and ways of working, you will help DWP continue to be an inclusive place where people can be their best.

All posts cover multiple offices and therefore will involve extensive travel across each District with occasional travel across West & South Yorkshire Group. All roles are office based, front facing positions. Hybrid working will not be considered at this time. Successful candidates will be posted to a specific role and will have the opportunity to express a preference as part of the selection process, although final decisions may come down to business need, and the skills and development needs of candidates. Standard promotion rules will apply, and successful candidates will be placed on the pay scale and terms and conditions of DWP.
