We are looking for a professional with leadership skills and a passion to be part of the therapy service as a permanent employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivery of a highly specialist Occupational therapy service, demonstrating highly specialist expertise and specialist Occupational therapy skills. Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of people with learning disabilities.
• Maintain a high standard of clinical work and offer a person-centred approach to client assessment and intervention by using appropriate treatment procedures and following established standards.
• Take part in or initiate appropriate quality measures, research or clinical studies that can improve the service and the experience of service users.
• Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, service users, carers, and other local services.
• Supervise student placements and other relevant trainees in the team and, where appropriate, supervise apprentices.
• Deliver formal and informal training to staff and carers and participate in regular team meetings.
• Be flexible with excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to reflect on own practice; show respect and compassion for people with learning disabilities, and their families.
