ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

SBC Media is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Senior Multimedia Journalist to join a team working on a wide range of video, audio and written editorial projects.

The role is an opportunity to contribute to some of the leading B2B news media brands in the sports betting and iGaming industry, including the iGaming Daily podcast, SBC News, SBC Americas, SBC Noticias and iGaming Expert.

It will involve every aspect of creation of engaging multimedia content from scripting and storyboarding, through filming and recording, to production and promotion.

Among the projects you will be working on are conducting and editing video interviews with high‑profile executives at trade shows, editing a daily news podcast, production of a daily online news bulletin, commercial videos, social media content and written features.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Video Content Creation:
    • Scripting, filming, editing and production of in‑studio, on‑site and remote video projects, such as interviews, online news bulletins and social media content
  • Audio Content Creation:
    • Ideation, scripting, production and editing of high‑quality audio content, including podcasts, interviews, and sound design
    • Manage audio recording sessions, ensuring technical and creative excellence
  • Post‑Production:
    • Reimagining long‑form content (audio or video) into shorter, engaging pieces suitable for diverse platforms
    • Developing teaser clips, highlight reels, and promotional assets for campaigns
  • Written Content Creation:
    • Research and write engaging content tailored to the audiences for SBC’s network of B2B news websites, including news stories, analysis, interviews and opinion pieces
    • Develop multimedia‑rich stories by combining written text with visuals, video snippets, and infographics
    • Repurpose existing content into compelling narratives for different platforms and audiences
  • Social Media and Engagement:
    • Creating and editing content snippets for social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts
    • Write and edit captions, headlines, and summaries for social media posts promoting written and multimedia content
    • Collaborate with the team to create visually appealing social media posts, using snippets of content to drive audience engagement
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Review multimedia output for consistency, brand alignment, and technical quality
    • Address feedback promptly to ensure the final product meets the required standards.
  • Audience Development:
    • Analyse audience metrics to refine content strategies, ensuring the material resonates with the target demographic
    • Identify emerging trends in the gambling industry to produce timely and relevant stories
ABOUT YOU

You must have:

  • Degree level qualification in journalism / multimedia journalism
  • Strong Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition skills
  • Exceptional writing skills and news judgement
  • Experience presenting on screen
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation both when writing and when proof reading
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and a keen interest in the latest relevant technology and trends
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Ability to grasp complex issues quickly and explain them in simple, concise language
  • Naturally creative and ready to contribute ideas
